Akua EROZ Music

about me

Akua EROZ is a jazz vocalist and songwriter. Having two musical parents and hailing from Detroit, Michigan, their interest in music runs deep. They were a member of Cass Technical High School’s historic Harp and Vocal Ensemble, while taking time on the side to branch off into studio recording original songs, later creating a band that would perform at Baker’s Keyboard Lounge under the guidance of Ralphe Armstrong. Their creative endeavors have a wide range of outlets, including full jazz and rock compositions, softer songs for voice and piano or ukulele, and full studio recordings with the influence and assistance of Motown’s producer talent. Akua is now studying Jazz Voice at Michigan State University with Carmen Bradford, where their technique, knowledge, and collaborative skill improves by the day.
